About the event

The Yellowstone Gateway Foundation & Museum are pleased to announce a free lecture and book signing by award-winning author Dan Flores on May 16, 2024 at 7:00pm at The Shane Center. The lecture, “Endangered Species and the American West” reflects Flores’ latest book Wild New World: The Epic Story of Animals and People in America, winner of the 2023 Rachel Carson Environment Book and 2023 Phi Beta Kappa Society Ralph Waldo Emerson Award. This lecture is the first in a series of lecture events planned for the next year titled: The Epic Story of Humans, Wildlife and Landforms in Park County: A Guide for Stewardship of our Ecosystem.
